STOCK MARKET CHALLENGE CLUB
What is the Stock Market Challenge?
The stock market challenge is a national competition that seeks to build student understanding of capital markets and financial literacy. Verona participates in the completion cycle from January to April.
What does the competition entail?
Teams of up to five students (There can be multiple teams for each school) begin the competition with a simulated amount of funding. Students then conduct stock trades with the purpose of maximizing their team’s ending portfolio valuation.
What else do the teams do?
Students attend sessions to learn about the stock market. Teams conduct research to determine which investments will have the best return. In addition to classroom/research sessions, experts in the field will be guest speakers throughout the season. We would like to plan a trip to a trading floor.
How can I get involved?
See Dr. Tamburro in Room 27 or email him for the classroom code.
Meetings are generally held during lunch or online.
